Check this out. I can imagine the web designer thinking, "ok, i've finished my (really quite poor) site, how can i add a little bit of class? i know, i'll just blatently rip off images from the amazon website. that'll learn 'em".

okay, it's a little bigger than i would have liked. and the ripping software is diabolical. oh, and it doesn't 'look' like a hard drive when you plug it into your pc. but, IT'S GOT A 60GB HARD DRIVE. and if that doesn't mean anything to you, that's enough for 16,000 songs.

Maybe this should be turned into a sport. For bernards.

Read all about it. Brings a whole new meaning to Princes (mis)Trust, Charley Brown and Ray(p) Charles. Or Prince Harming. Think Adam Ant, 'don't you ever, bum a fella'

For those, like me, that need to maintain there status in the 'hood. I'm particularly drawn to 'having a j arthur'

Apparently the potato equivalent of foot and mouth. I fear that it may have already jumped the species barrier. Ask my missus, that's all I'm saying

Sort of 21st century meccano. But not really. You'll just have to check it.

From Wife Swap to... Boss Swap. I imagine there's a certain amount of satisfaction derived from sacking your opposite number's wife, and then walking out.

Steven Pinker. He the man. I've just finished his (rather weighty) book The Blank State. The best thing since me old mate Dawkins. Though don't go and buy it if you're getting a Christmas present from me this year otherwise you'll end up with two copies.

6-0. 6 bloody nil. What happened to scottish 'heart'? Still something for them to look forward on Saturday when the miserable bastards will no doubt be supporting Australia.

Ah, Jonny. The thinking man's David Beckham maybe. Ever wondered why he 'stirs the porridge'?

A useful looking grammar tutorial. Why don't they teach this stuff in schools? It's bizarre. A system that churns out kids by the 1000 that don't even have a basic grasp of the rules of their own language. One fears that it stems from the ultra-left that probably consider grammar patriarchal oppression. Or som'ink.

Excellent stuff. Comic understatement at it's best. At least I think that's what it is.

Reading stuff like this does your head in dunnit? I can't understand why anybody could possibly think this dystopia should serve as a model for any other nation.

Very interesting (to me) document from the BBC. It's a leaked description of the process they went through redesigning their website. For instance, did you know that they display different colour schemes on the front page chosen to enhance the main photograph. Neither did I.
