""Chaos Over 5-in-1 Baby Jab" screams the Daily Mail, delighted by a chance to repeat its weird and lethal campaign against vaccines. "

A collection of pictures of, as the title might suggest, London at dawn.

A suprisingly hard game which consists of the time honoured practice of throwing paperballs into the bin

Interesting site I stumbled upon whilst looking for country codes for our new computer system.
This particular page shows the top 100 countries in terms of murders per capita.
Here in the UK, we've stormed into the charts at no. 46. This equates to a mere 1 in 100,000 opportunity to get murdered.
Not bad, unless your the one i guess.
In at no. 1 though - Columbia, live there and you stand a 1 in 1600 chance of getting fatally f####d over at some point in your existence.
For the more macabre, death by firearm statistics may prove to be a highlight.

All the world records.
Bob Beaman's long jump record stood for 25 years. Amazing.

Fascinating (honest) reading. A table of life expectancy by country.
I'm pleased to be able to say that in the UK we average 10 years longer than the healthy Latvians.

As at all times, as good citizens, we should be prepared for any kind of emergency. This will prepare you for every eventuality. Well probably not actually...

Viz is 25 years old. And to celebrate (from the letterbocks)
"HOW come rap artist Dr. Dre can use the 'N' word on his multi-million selling albums and win a MOBO award, yet when I used it at my son's football match I was asked to leave the park? Once again, it's one law for the rich and another for the poor. "

Oh please.
Can you believe the unutterably corrupt PM once said this?
"It means being open. It means telling it like it is. Let's be honest. Straight. Those most in need of hope deserve the truth."
How times have changed?

Did anyone see the 200m final last night?
A bloody disgrace, I tell thee. I can handle the incomplete stadia (hey look, a swimming pool with no roof and a velodrome with no walls! - thank james) and I could just about get used to the idea of half-empty stadia when there wasn't any Greek interest.
But what is unacceptable is the shabby booing of the 200m athletes making the start of the race impossible. And why? A protest because the Greek runner was banned for taking drugs and was not taking part.

A fascinating/terrifying account of an engineer present when it all kicked off in 1986.
