"Kathleen Blanco, the governor of Louisiana, said: "They have M-16s and they're locked and loaded. These troops know how to shoot and kill ... they are more than willing to do so, and I expect they will."

The US president, George Bush, who is due to visit New Orleans later today, said he approved of the shoot-to-kill policy.

"I think there ought to be zero tolerance of people breaking the law during an emergency such as this, whether it be looting, or price-gouging at the gasoline pump or taking advantage of charitable giving, or insurance fraud," Mr Bush added.

Surely President Bush is not seriously suggesting that those committing insurance fraud will be shot on site?

Shoot on site i say, damn loss adjusters.

Sorry about that, a moment of madness.

I think there are many that would like to apply a shoot to kill policy on the man himself.

What was the prick doing flying over looking out of a plane window?

Surely he could have been doing something much more constructive. The organisation of aid, in such a resource rich, developed country is nothing short of shameful.

Funny how they can organise themselves so well killing people in countries where they´ve no right to be.
