Rach and I competed in the London Triathlon this year which was fun. Neither of us did the full event, but each of us competed, in separate teams, in the Olympic team relay. Rach did the swim, I did the cycle obviously.
Follow the link to see our comedy finish.
I managed a disappointing 1hr12 for the 40km (25 mile circuit). In fairness it was into a 20mph headwind for half of the course, but no excuses. I was only 62 out of 384. Next year...
Anyway, here's the team - Ben, Nic and I.

Heston gets 10 on 10 in the Good Food Guide.
I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than to get yo ass down to Bray and enjoy the taster menu at the Fat Duck.
Rach and I went to Atul Kochhar's Benares. Very nice but not a patch on Heston's fare.

It astonishes me that stuff like this every gets printed, let alone in the Guardian.
From an article by Lola Adesioye on race and sporting prowess
"It seems to me that the reason for why people do better in any kind of sport is primarily cultural as opposed to racial. Biology alone cannot account for success, or lack thereof. If it could, I too would be an Olympic gold medallist. As it is, I can just about run around my local track a few times before running out of steam."
"It seems to me"
Hmm, is her speculation really that interesting?
"Biology alone cannot account for success"
Speculation turns into fact in one easy step.
"Biology alone"
Is anyone seriously suggesting that biology *alone* is responsible for sporting prowess?
"If it could, I too would be an Olympic gold medallist"
Whoa. What was that about small brains earlier in the article? Come on Lola. Here's another Jedi mind trick for you - dogs have 4 legs, dogs are mammals, people are mammals, therefore, it seems to Lola, people must have 4 legs.
Stoopid.
