Amstrad sold shit. They had a shitty, piano key-style tape deck. They had this shitty "computer" thingy. Does your giant tadge create some drag problems when cycling at speed? Also I would imagine there would be quite a lot of left-to-right tadge movement when pedalling at speed, which may have a chafing effect (cyclists' nob perhaps?).

On the plus side I would imagine the tight cycling wear would accentuate your member which could distract other cyclists, putting you at an advantage.

Oh dear. Mozilla have been messing with their rendering engine. My 'NEW' flashes on my photos don't look right and my work email client is a now rather ugly as every font is bold.

Both of these problems were spotted in the space of a couple of minutes which doesn't bode well. The rendering in previous releases of Firefox has been remarkably consistent.

... and the google browser sync doesn't work. And never will apparently.

I've been looking forward to this, but am holding off due to worries about plugin compatibility and issues like those you've mentioned. Think I'll finish my current project then have a look.

Steve, you're right to hold off. I've never known firefox to cause so much trouble in such a short space of time. A few sites not rendering properly, including good ol' trustworth paulnixon.org.

It's also crashed on shutdown since.

I have found that most of my plug-ins work just fine. Only the Veoh plug-in failed. I'm not sure what you mean by Firefox "causing trouble" with the rendering engine. Things are a little different, yes, but only because the browser has improved standards compliance. I would respectfully suggest that anything it "broke" was probably broken already!

Simon. Aha. Straight out in defence of Firefox. My png transparency used to work, and now it doesn't. Everything at my end has stayed the same. But it is broken. As is my exchange web email client. As are another couple of sites I've been to today.

It may very well be that the problem lies with the coding of the websites in question.

However, my point was only that the Firefox engine has remained remarkably consistent across versions; i.e. if it works in Firefox version x it works in version y. That is no longer the case.

The consequence for us professionals is that it would seem we now need to make sure our sites work in 2 or more versions of Firefox and well as multiple version of IE.
