Maintains his 100% record for horribly public and mercenary disloyalty in his contract negotiations.

Having now signed with McLaren, I would expect an abrupt announcement that actually, he would rather drive for Williams. No wait, Red Bull.

Exciting though, Button to McLaren - Hamilton is going to give him a proper pasting no?

Whether you like Lewis Hamilton or not, it's hard to deny that he has talent and courage.

Jenson spent the last 10 races of 2009 being humiliated by middle-of-the-road Rubens 'up the' Barichello.

I'm prepared to be Jenson's due a humiliating 2010. I'll drink to that.

Indeed. It looks like he's been in a fight with Edward Scissorhands.

I tweeted about Button moving to McLaren the other day. In my opinion, Button will do much to help develop the car (in the way Räikkönen would've done) because of his smooth driving style and technical proficiency. But come race time, Lewis Hamilton will probably obliterate his teammate.

I can't understand what certain people have against Jenson. He was clearly delighted at his fortune last season and, despite winning, appears to have been effectively forced out from team Deutschland. Luckily for him he has spawned, what will probably be, another great car.

He seems like a nice bloke. He did not cheat like some other drivers. He just got on with it and did the best he could with what he had. What is there to hate? He reminds me of Forrest Gump.... a really lucky bastard. I would love it if he won back-to-back championships as I would take great pleasure in seeing the F1 snobs apoplectic with rage.

Tim, I'm not sure who you might have in mind by 'certain people' :-).

A little story. After 116 consecutive non-victories in a mediocre career, Jenson finally fluked a grand prix victory. When he was asked how he felt what do you think he said? That he was jubilant? Thrilled? Relieved? No. Jenson said that it was normal. He was used to winning. That was normal for him.
