Unlikely places for explosions

One in a pie factory is odd enough. But on the same day, a headline about an explosion in a mower repair shop? (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/7993510.stm)

Perhaps Jacqui Smith was quite right to attempt to divert her attention away from her numerous expense scandals toward the "immediate threat of a sophisticated terror attack."

This can be the only explanation.

I'm not sure what the plot could be here but i'm sure it will make sense in the end as the drama unfolds.
