We did received our first Ocado order today, and initial impressions are full marks.
I don't quite get the relationship with Waitrose which is a bit confusing.
I've tried home delivery from other supermarkets in the past, and they all suffered from the following failings
1. Ridiculous substitutions
2. Not finding the same products week-in week-out even though they're in store
3. Poor shelf life
By selecting from the distribution centre rather than having muppets wandering around stores, these problems seem to have been resolved.
Buying fresh stuff is great as they give you a minimum and average shelf-life on every item.
So, thumbs up.
if only they followed these high standards in store, eh mate? ;o)

I have used both Waitrose Deliver and Ocado and the only differences I noticed apart from the above benefits you mentioned are that the Ocado delivery drivers are mostly scum bags from the local council estate that have a go at you if they can't find your house and crush your shopping. Oh and the Waitrose Deliver website is complete pap... But still I don't want scum on my door step.

Hi, just stumbled on this from the link in one of your emails and thought I'd comment as I know a thing or two about online delivery ;-). Allegedly the reason the Ocardo service is so good because they make a loss, they've not managed to make it a viable business...yet. You really should try Sainsbury's again though, they've worked hard at your 3 grips, availability is around 96% (or so I hear...)
