Hate is a strong word but appropriate when used in a sentence describing the Daily Mail. It's an unspeakably bad, bad newspaper.
Anyway, the nasty small-minded xenophobic, neophobic, miserable, moribund publication is in a spot of bother after some unnecessary unpleasantness to do with Facebook...
"Facebook has threatened to sue the Daily Mail for damages after the paper wrongly claimed in a piece published on Wednesday that 14-year-old girls who create a profile on the social networking site could be approached 'within seconds' by older men who 'wanted to perform a sex act' in front of them.
The paper apologised in print today and online yesterday for the error, which the author of the piece, Mark Williams-Thomas, insisted had been introduced by editors at the paper despite being told it was wrong."
Probably best stay away from the internet in future. It's not really they're strong point anyway. Better to stick to thinly-veiled racism in articles about asylum seekers, or thinly-veiled sexist ones about working mothers. Or how we're all going to be stabbed by teenagers or mauled by dangerous dogs. Or how the country has gone to the dogs.

Went out and bought a couple of games this morning, stuck them in the drive and blammo. Sounds like Sony might be hoping it fixes itself tomorrow.

Very good. And true. And astonishing. And absurd. And it shows that people will believe just about anything. Which is at once comic and tragic.

Philosophers and theologians pack up your bags. Time to take up welding.
For Elton John has spoken
Sir Elton John has claimed Jesus was a "super-intelligent gay man"
I suspect he wasn't pressed on the evidence he has to support this astounding discovery, which is a shame because I'm struggling to take it at face value.
Either way, top marks on the topical Eddie the Eagle impression...

Very amusing.
As a reddittor pointed out though...
I find it astonishing that his true "impulse" reaction was to first quickly take off his shirt

Just about the best attempt at a downhill ski race ever by Marion Rolland. Wonderful.

Charlie Brooker is increasingly on my radar these days - not in a sexual manner of course, but rather in my enjoyment of his journalistic output.
A few highlights from his review
"..and it can store about 1,500 titles; approximately 1,499 more than I could comfortably carry otherwise"
"OK, so right now they'll judge you simply for using an ebook – because you will look like a showoff early-adopter techno-nob if you use one..."
"It can also read books aloud, which is great if, like me, you've spent years wondering how the great works of literature might sound if recited by a depressed robot."

A little mix I threw together in Ableton. Few places in there it could be improved, but overall I'm quite pleased with it. Hope it brings a soupcon of enjoyment.

Jesus Christ - this is terrifying.
"The capybara, Hydrochoerus Hydrochaeris, is a semi-aquatic rodent of South America. It weighs about a hundred pounds"
There is something instinctively frightening about animals that are bigger than they should be. Insects more than mammals, but still...
